    Screen Scale

I opened a DXF file (file is in inches) with mcx7 (also set in inches) and at the bottom right of the screen I see what’s shown in the attachment. I know the space between the 2 vertical lines equals 1 inch but what the 22.8073 means?

Just an annoying reference I've always ignored in MC.

That gonome can be turned off/on ... same as the crosshairs
    Try F9 (crosshairs)
Alt-F9 (scale & other gonomes in the corners)

Thank you Superman but it didn’t work. Have the drawing on my screen and I press F9 or Alt+F9 and nothing happens, that number is still above the “inch”

Out of curiosity + to learn, do you know what this number means?

I also thought that it may be related to the DXF file but it's not because I open a new file and draw a circle and that number (not the same value) is still there

Strange that the shortcut is not working.... btw, where the curser is on the screen is of some importance. Graphics screen has to be active for shortcut to work

As for the screen scale, if you print anything, it can assist in showing some sort of size...
That number should alter when zooming in/out
It is the size between the verticals.

If you look at your mastercam installation.... there should be a folder called "Documentation" & it holds a file called "Reference Card"
Print it out.... it has a list of often used shortcuts & other items

    Re: Screen Scale

I switched to GDI and still the F9 not working but it does switches ON/OFF the coordinate axes plus hides the mouse plus displays the Y,C.X coordinates at the top left of the screen (they also show at the bottom left of the screen but displays Y & X, not the C which is the origin). Please see attached. BTW I run Windows 8.1

It’s true that zooming makes this number change value

I do have the “Reference Guide” and F9 = Show/Hide coordinate axes. Truly a very handy guide for people like me who don’t use mc often
