Hello guys! im an aspiring CNC technician currently working in the aerospace sector. The machines we have are running on siemens control 840dsl. I am an apprentice and so I am new to machining still. Apon looking at the op panel sometimes I can see the command 'SUPA' in the scripts being executed. I am looking for a basic understanding of what this actually means?

Not sure of the meaning but one word on the Siemens control, if the 840D is anything like the earlier versions, occasionally the hard drive would crash, in this case it is imperative to clone a copy of the HD as Siemens used to charge a grand to replace a loaded drive.
