Question USB breakout Spindle control AV out. what does it do?

I have a BL-UsbMach-V2.1 breakout board and WS55-220 spindle controller.

I've hooked up the controller to the PWM line (with GND and direction) and all seems to be working well. I haven't confirmed the speed is correct yet but min/max speeds are set in MACH3, M3/M4 spins in the correct direction..

this issue is, the breakout board has an AV out next to the PWM out which I can not figure out which it's for, the manual doesn't say much other that it's a positive out..
I'm not sure if i even need it as it seems to all be working.
would like to know whats it for..

picture attached with how it's wired at the moment.

    Analog Voltage, maybe 0-5Vor 0-10V?

    of course, thanks!
It was in the manual, I just didn't make the connection with analogue voltage and AV

the PWM out only outputs 0-5v, the AV is 0-10v.. I should use this into my spindle controller

plus this will fix the potential noise issue with the PWM line interfering with my stepper control lines.

    from the manual:
    5. 0-10V analog voltage output( photocoupler separated) , can be connected
to Frequency converter?using to control the spindle speed?
    6. PWM output is available ( ( photocoupler separated,5V) ?can be used to
control the spindle speed controller that controlled by PWM.

It is used to control the speed if you where using a VFD Drive

unforntunatly the AV is only outputting 5v too should be 10.
seems to be an issue with some of these generic boards..

might need a pwm signal converter and use the 10v on the spindle controller

Check the vfd, as sometimes there will take a 0-5v signal.

What control Software are you using if it is Mach3 then you need to set the PWM to 100 and check the Breakout Board for any jumpers, not all of these Breakout Boards are the same and some need you to add 12v to get the 0-10v output need to see what Breakout Board you have, if all is correct some VFD Drives can use 0-5v to control the speed
