    Clicking on Y axis

Noticed the Y axis is clicking/ticking on my backup CNC machine.

Odd thing is, it only does it going left. Its been well lubricated.

    Any ideas?

Well, you need to find out what exact part is making that noise. The "clicking in one direction only" sound could be the belt drive, if there is one in your machine. The belt creeps towards one side of the pulley and then snaps back.

    Thanks for reply.

Its a ball screw. I have zeroed the noise to either the ballscrew (the part connecting to the spindle holder) or the travel rail above or below.

I made a vid but its too large to attach and upload.
