    Macro variable name

Hello, I want to have a name for each of the permanent variables I use like #500 TAILSTK this is on a fanuc 0i control, seems like I did this on another 0i but I cant get this to work, tryed the setvn in MDI with no luck, is there a parameter that needs to be turned on? Thanks

Yes you can do it. We do it with 0i-MD controls.
I would have to look for parameters.
You want a comment to disllay in the macros page? Or you just want to declare variable names for use within that program?

    Re: Macro variable name

The Variable Names that you register will only be visible from the Pattern Data Menu, the variable page will not display them.

Here is a copy of our O9501:

You can extrapolate from here, or reference your Parameter Manual Appendix-A for the Character Code List.

If you figure out a way to get the names to display on the variable page, please let us know!
