    Slotting MDF

    Hello all,
I'm cutting shapes out of 1/8" MDF. I'm using a 1/8" straight single flute carbide tipped router bit running at 13,000 RPM (max for my machine). The edges are very fury after the cut requiring alot of sanding to clean up. I've tried at different feed rates but the result is the same.
Any suggestions on a router bit to suit the parameters of my machine, or is the max RPM to low.

    Thanks

... try a down cut to eliminate the fuss, using coated (TiN) end mills works for MDF

    Thanks Mark,
I'll get my hands on one and give it a go.
