    Scrap hopper Budget build

Currently building a spindle out of some scrap aluminum and old angular contact bearings (NSK 5205zz). really just taking my time and having fun with it. What I'm trying to figure out is the best way to control an old dc motor that I found in the scrap hopper. Baldor 3440 frame 56C 3/4hp. 90v 7.6amp. this thing is very large. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Scrap hopper Budget build

Well, I decided to use an old MT2 to R8 adapter that I made years ago as the core of the spindle. I've turned the morse taper in a couple of areas to fit the bearings in my aluminium blocks. I've tried to post pictures but having trouble figuring it out.
