Wasn't sure where to put this. I'd like to use my gantry-style machine (AVID) to turn screws in an array, wondered if any here had tackled such a problem. For ease of fabrication, my preference would be for the screw to either terminate in a simple chamfered cut, or a fixed nut. Maintaining engagement would be a challenge; one possible solution would be to mount an elastomer tube in the spindle, the aperture slightly smaller than the screw end or nut; engagement would be accomplished by friction fit as the elastomer is pushed over the screw.

Any reflection will be appreciated.
