There is not a 3D chamfer operation. Either do a 3axis Cut with a ball end mill or do a 3axis Project of a 2axis path. I would need a file to look at to advise further.

    Like a pencil cut?
How do you then control the size and or depth?

    Re: 3D Chamfers.

You would need to create surface geometry of your chamfer. In SolidWorks the software creates a separate surface which is your chamfer. ONce you have a surface(s) those are your chamfer(S) then you just use a small end mill like a ball or bull nose and machine the surface(s), just as you would any other surface.
