    Probe tool holders

    Hey there,

I am looking to retrofit my mill with a renishaw probe system and have cobbled everything together other than the tool holder for my OPM40 probe. My main issue is that my machine has a BT30 spindle and the cheapest tool holder I can seem to find is $200. I have seen a few on aliexpress for $30-50, since this is not a live tool should I worry about the quality of the tool holder? Any run out should be able to be comped by the adjustment screws right? Let me know if I should just pony up the 200 bucks or try out the "import" tooling.
    -thanks

Yes you should be able to adjust it out. You have to do that with any holder anyway.

Machining is a very expensive business or hobby. Best get used to it. It only gets worse the deeper you get in to it.
