threadmilling on a hardinge vmc600 need help

I'm trying to threadmill on our old hardinge vmc600 for the first time and having issues. Fanuc control.

    1/2-14 NPT
    304ss
1/2 dia threadmill solid carbide 4 flute tapered
I've tried a generated g-code from the guhring website and it gives me a 041 cutter comp alarm
The program is using incremental, drops the threadmill in, turns comp on with a g3 move, then spirals out.
I've never done any threadmilling before but really want to, especially for this tough pipe thread in 304ss.
Can anyone give me some tips. We don't have cad/cam, I write all our programs.
    Thanks

I have found that most of the cnc's that i have run they want to use a G1 move to set the comp and don't like to set the cutter comp with a G3 move
post your code so that it can be looked at

Hi. I don't know how useful this will be for you but I have attached some photos of a program I wrote myself to do thread milling, its in Hiedenhain though.
    Q3 is the X position
    Q6 is the Y position
Q0 is the diameter of the thread divided by 2
    Q7 is the feed
    Q9 is the depth

LBL 1 positions the cutter, puts it down the hole and engages the cutter with the job whilst applying cutter compensation.

LBL 71 circles the cutter 360degrees whilst incrementally moving the Z axis up by the required pitch.

I do hope this helps and is understandable. You can ask questions should you have any.

    Regards. Steve.

I managed to post the pictures back to front, but obviously the program reads from line 3 to line 22.
