Hello and thank you,
We have a 1994 MX-45 VAE, great machine but we've had tools jammed iup on the spindle at tool change-picking up and returning, Jammed up so tight at the spindle we could only drop the tool arm to get the tools out, I am sure there was an easier way.
Now I have reinstalled the tool arm but not sure on what I had done. is there a typical way to align the arm to the tool at the spindle, the spring at the tool arm that holds the tool on is free and clear,
alls I can think of is to put a tool back in the spindle and loosen up the arm and rotate it until the arm has contacted the tool at the spindle. and at the parameters re zero the arm ? ?

Is this MX-45 VAE a Haas? I didn't know they made such a thing.

So sorry, this is an Okuma I didn't realize I was in the HAAS area.
We have five HAAS and six Okuma'
