    Spindle bearing.....

    Have a question for users that have large ATC Style spindles that have ceramic bearings what do you guys think of them what is the durability and longevity of these bearings what are the pros and cons

    Ceramic bearing is much more durable then steel ball bearings, for how long it can be used depends on how often you use the machine and what kind of the jobs.

    Are they quieter... im guess also when using the
    Tool as a probe the tool is insulated from the spindle.

    Has anyone had any bad experiences or issues with them

    They run smoother and have a much longer life, for probing your probe is independent of anything to do with your spindle, for a tool setter you use one that has a contact switch inside which makes it also independent
