    Import tool setter recommendation

I am wanting to add a tool setter to my machine with a limited budget. Anyone tried these?

SHINA SK-66 CNC Automatic Tool Touch Sensor Normally Open with Blowing Setting Gauge Z-Axis Presetter Locator with Stroke 5mm for Mach3 etc https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MYGDU3K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_bB78FbR4YG488

Or, anyone had good luck with one of the imports?

I bought this one but I haven’t had a chance to hook it up yet. It looks identical to the one you’re looking at but it’s about $30 cheaper.

Looks like the one I was considering. Yours is less on ebay than Amazon. For $55 you can't loos much...

Any chance idea what the air fitting is for? I’m guessing the post is to limit overtravel

The post is actually an air blast. There's a small hole that's pointed at the face of the tool setter.

The schematic I received with mine was basically useless. There are 4 wires and two NC switches. One is the tool length switch the other is an overtravel indicator. You can connect that to your E-stop so that the tool won't crash into the tool setter if the length isn't detected for some reason.

I like mine on my HY-3040. I have added a second PP on my set up for all the inputs of homing, tool setting & probing.
Not the greatest video but hope it shows what can be done.

Looks good, thanks for the video.
I bought one from ebay, hooked it up and got it working. Then, I messed around and knocked it off the table. I guess it hit on the end and overtraveled cause it doesn't work correctly. Guess I'll order another. Glad they are only $55 ;?)
