    ncnet lite

Does anyone have a fadal.par that they can share to run on ncnet lite.
I am trying this software, however, some of the parameters that need to be adjusted are greyed out. So I guess you have to have the original .par file for the specific cnc.

    thanks

Cadem recently started charging for those files, they used to be free for the longest time. Fadal is one I don't have, however,
    http://www.machinist-toolbox.com/qcode.htm
has a freeware download for Fadal that is a powerful code generator AND a free configured RS232 program in the download from Surfcam.
    You should check it out.

Actually, I just happened to download that today as well. I just have to figure out the parameters required.

It's possible that the ncnet lite that I have doesn't drip feed anyway, so I would need to find another FREE alternative.

If anyone has any suggestions please come forth.

In the meantime "bborb", I will try to get the gcode working.

    Thanks!

    The link:
    http://www.machinist-toolbox.com/qcode.htm
    has been taken down.
If you search Google for "Fadal98.exe" (with the quotation marks) it will reveal a link for the Fadal Quick Code including SurfCam's SDNC-II RS232 workings.
    For parameters,
    http://www.aggsoft.com/download/dnc-...free-setup.exe
is a free RS232 program that has MANY parameters listed, just add a Fadal control through "Add Machine" button and it reveals parameters, wiring, etc.
This program pretty much replaces Cadem's Ncnet lite since it includes ALL the machine parameters within the program, you don't have to search a par file for your particular machine, it has them ALL

Need help, regarding interfacing of NC Milling Machine with PC

    Hello everyone,

I am interfacing a vertical NC Milling Machine with PC through a serial cable. i am using NCnet Lite(Version7) software for transfering data. Following is the machine information:

Shizuoka Vertical NC Milling Machine (3-axis)
Model no > Mill Master AN-S
    Controller > Fanuc (System 6M)
How can i set the baute rate, parity etc of machine?

Machine is provided with 25 pin female port and PC with 9 pin male port.

    Problem statement:
When i connect the serial cable between Machine and PC and test the serial port through NCnet Lite software. the following message appears:
    Test Result
    DTR/DSR Signal ok
    RTS/CTS Signal ok
    Communication at baudrate Testing
COM1 is not ok at the baud rate 600
COM1 is not ok at the baud rate 1200
COM1 is not ok at the baud rate 2400

    Thanx for your time
