    PCB marking

    Hi,
I can buy a laser fiber:
    Code:
    - Marca: PRESICION
    - Potencia de Láser: 30 Watt - Raycus QB
    - Tiempo de Respuesta: 0,5 ms
    - Frecuencia de Pulso: 20-100KHz
    - Max Marcado Profundidad: ? 0,4mm
    - Velocidad de Marcado: ? 7000 mm/s
    - Mínimo Ancho de Línea: 0,1mm
    - Mínimo Carácter: 0,15mm
    - Repetibilidad de la Precisión: ± 0.002mm
    - Relación de Resolución: 0,1mm
    - Marcado: Texto, Patrón, Fechas, Código de Barras, Imágenes,
    - Sistema de Operación: Microsoft Windows XP o Windows 2000
    - Software de Control: EZCAD software de control
    - Formato Gráfico Apoyado. bmp jpg gif tga png tif ai dxf dst plt
    - Unidad de Potencia: ? 1.2KW
    - Temperatura de Funcionamiento:5 °C-40 °C
    - Tensión de Alimentación: 220V/50Hz
    - Lente de Campo: 110*110mm

    Re: PCB marking

Have you the list of criteria?
    1. How long it will take for 30W laser to produce this kind a piece reflected in the video?
    2. Cost effectiveness. Taking into account the efficiency of laser, did you calculated how much the electrical power will cost per 1dm² ?
    3. Material. You will need special coated material in order to etch copper by laser.
    4. Resolution. What is perspective of use the stated resolution 0,1mm ?
    5. Strange specification. Since the position repeatability is ± 2µm ( which is really good ) how it happens the resolution is 50 times worse?
    6. What is the blow unit? The copper does not evaporate, it is blown away. What is the gas used? Is it possible to use just compressed air?
    7. size of the workpiece. 1dm² is too small today in my understanding.

    1. 15min is well for me, but I don't know
    2. I can use 1500W during the day without problem
    3. Well it's problem then
    4. I need be able to propose multiple kind of manufacturing
I think you are right... I try understand all to choice the right way to manufacturing PCB for a country

    3. You will need special coated material in order to etch copper by laser.-> can your explain more? How do this with normal FR4 + copper board?
