    Temperature of CNC while working

I'm doing my dissertation on how to save energy while a CNC machine in a industry is in idle.
My idea was to use thermal energy storage, and make use of the heat released from the CNC machine and turn the heat energy to electrical energy. Now with COVID I can't do this experiment in a lab, so I'm asking if there is a way someone could lead me to find the amount of heat that comes from the CNC machine?
Also, if there are research papers about the energy consumption of the CNC machine while using it and idle, I'd be grateful.

Re: Temperature of CNC while working

The exact amount of heat released would vary by machine, but the heat released is always 100% of the input power.
