Want to add proxy switches for travel limit

Looking at the option of adding Omron TL-Q5MC1 proximity switches for travel limit rather than simple snap contact switch, but am unsure if a PNP switch will work with the board. I am using a NOVUSUN NVCM6V2.1 Bought on Amazon. Will a PNP sensor work with this board?

Like many of these Chinese units, the documentation is lousy!
I could not find out if they were sink or source inputs, it just says 'Programmable'??

Have a look at your current snap contact switches. If they connect the input to negative or zero, then I would use NPN. If they connect the input to a positive voltage I would use PNP.
NPN makes a connection to the Negative wire of the sensor.. PNP makes a connection to the positive wire of the sensor.

Thanks, as it turns out, the board does use the negative side. Your response cleared it up for me.

Hey there! Adding Omron TL-Q5MC1 proximity switches for travel limit sounds like a solid idea. As for compatibility with your NOVUSUN NVCM6V2.1 board, it's best to check the specifications or reach out to the manufacturer for clarification. Also, if you're looking for a proxy service, make sure to research reputable providers that meet your specific needs. Good luck with your project!
