A calculator for measuring bore diameters using three gage pins

After some discussion on another machining forum, I created a web-based calculator for calculating the diameter of a bore based on the diameters of three gage pins (or any other cylinder) that fit into it.
It's free, open source software that I built as a side project in my spare time. I wanted to show it to the CNCZone community, hopefully it's of use to someone!

You can access it here: https://www.holecalc.com

Let me know if you have any feedback or issues!

Re: A calculator for measuring bore diameters using three gage pins

hy this method was heavily used into inspection areas, that used to use sets of gage pins with increments of 0.01, 0.005, or even less; required hand's sensitivity

method was tough, but it started to loose ground a few decades ago

what you did is ok, just keep it up if you like to go that way

if you wish to go futher, "down the hole", then try to think about calculating a diameter, using :
    ... 3 points from a ( normal ) probe
... 2 points from a probe that is sensitive to cosine directions / kindly
