DM556 wont reverse (other drives ok with linux CNC)

    Hello,

Im working through a lathe build and while im waiting on getting bits for my headstock ive been playing around with the motors for my axis.

I have managed to get Linux CNC installed and have it running through a generic Parallel BOB (5v) feeding TB6600 drives and a DM556. Drives are currently on a 24v PSU.
With the TB6600 my motors work fine in both axis.

When i wire in the DM556 in the same way both my fwd and rev buttons result in fwd motion only.

Any idea what to check? Reverting to the TB6600 for the same axis, everything works as expected.

    Thanks

Check the wires again. Usually, this problem is due to a bad connection in one of them.

Check with a voltmeter the voltage between the DIR+ and - connection.
This should be less then 1 volt in one direction and more then 4 volt in the other direction.
