WATER COOLING SPINDLE 0-24000 rpm ??? is this possible?

    Hello
I found on ebay several spindle at different speeds and I think it would be best one SPEED: 0-24000 rpm
    WATER-COOLE MOTOR SPINDLE 1.5KW AND MATCHING INVERTER 1 en venta en eBay.es (finaliza el 29-nov-10 18:12:35 H.Esp) Salesman: http://myworld.ebay.es/rumei-shopping/

The question is that I found the spindle of 0-24000 rpm may be true that work at that speed ??? The most of the spindle that I found on ebay work at 8000-24000 r / min or 6000/24000r / min. is this possible?

I have also questioned whether there will be much difference from a spindle of 1500w or 2200w. I will work normally copper, aluminum and brass. thanks a lot

While these spindles can go from zero RPM, there isn't enough power to really use before about 8,000. One thing....the 2.2KW and larger have three bearings while the smaller ones have two bearings. I'd think that working with aluminum or brass you'd want the extra bearings. I have a 2.2KW liquid cooled and am very happy with it.

I've been wondering a very similar thing or maybe even exactly the same. I've been imagining submerging the entire piece you are going to cut in water and just cutting in the water. Anyone think this is viable? I imagine there to be far less noise, much less heat, and no metal shavings flying about or metal dust in the air.

How are you supposed to use fly cutters with these spindles i they can't go to the lower rpms?

You're not. That's not what they are made for.

I too have a water cooled 2.2KW spindle on my machine and it works great. As regards using a Fly cutter Gerry is correct one uses a face mill so it stays balanced and can rotate at these high RPM's without issue.
