    130W CO2 + Oxygen metal cutting problem

I just bought a 1325 size China made Metal / Non-Metal laser cutting machine, trying to cut 1 mm carbon steel with many different parameter setting - after three days still can not get a good consistent result. Below is a sample cut.

    Cutting parameters:
    - speed : 20 mm/s
    - laser power: 60%
    - corner power: 40%
    - piercing delay: 1 second
    - oxygen pressure: 0.6 mpa (6 bar)
    - gap between nozzle to metal: 0.6mm (focus a bit below metal surface)
    - material: 1mm carbon steel

    Machine spec:
    - working size: 130x250 cm
    - laser tube: Reci W6 130W
    - controller: leetro MCP6565
    - height controller: Au3Tech FTC61
    - laser head: Blue metal cutting head (Ruida? not sure)

As on the photo, the cut on top and top left is good but not the rest - cutting start from the bottom with lead in and lead out.

Many Youtube video showing good cutting result, i wonder why mine isn't?

cant confirm its ruida or not, why use RD head with leetro instead of RD controller , so,might not from RD.

power looks low,how about 80 or more, generally coner power only 2 less than settings.

focus length very important, if u not sure, ask supplier the distance eaxctly. or the its 101.6 or 127 or...

Hi ESKA thanks for your comments, so this kind of machine really can cut sheet metal reliably?

I will try 80% power - but doesn't the photo of the sample show a sign of over power? If i reduce the power to let say 40% the result is some is good but some not cut.

I find the focus by light lasering (non metal mode) a slightly inclined wood and then mark the sharpest line as the focal point.

If we see the photo, the cut start bad from the bottom turn left and then up, the cut then started become good - at the turn right corner it make a hole but then still good cut at the top of picture. It start going bad again when the cut go down until the end of cut at the bottom.

    How to explain this behave?

yes it can cut, I see it in laser factory before. so ur corner power u set 2 less than max power ? I think main problem is still in focus not in a correct way..

Thanks to confirm that this kind of machine really can cut thin steel sheet, that blow some extra wind to me .

Today, found one of the mirror is mounted loose - fixing it makes a big difference, but still the cutting result not as good as many on youtube.
