    MORI SEIKI GV-503 EX0156 ATC MOTOR OVERLOAD

    Hello, need help;

    My GV-503 started to do a tool change and before arm grabbed both tools, it alarmed out with EX0156 ATC MOTOR OVERLOAD,

    I found the solution.

    My machined froze mid-toolchain with a tool in each side of the arm and the tool still mostly in the spindle but unclamped.

    I powered off the machine then manhandled the arm down far enough to remove the tools. I opened up the cabinet and reset all of the breakers associated with the ATC. I powered on the machine and opened the ATC Macro. I then manhandle the ATC to the home position, carefully lining the arm up with the Y-Axis then using a 2x4 to wedge the arm piston up until the machine indicated it was in the home position.
