    G32 thread problem

Fanuc 6T controller. Ancient Citizen E Swiss. Using G32 for taper screw thread cutting. Modifying F character has no affect on thread lead.

    GOX.6Z-.200T1111
    X.1
    G32 X.425Z.6 F.125
    G0X.6
Doubling Feedrate to F.250 produces the same thread as .125!
    Encoder?
    Parameter?
    Any ideas?

    Re: G32 thread problem

If you have a Ancient Citizen E Swiss i would start by checking just how fast the threading cycle can go
you don't mention what the pitch is that you are producing was it an 8tpi at the .125ipr ? or does it have a higher tpi thread?
you are trying to put on an 8 tpi thread at 1000 rpm = 125ipm can your machine actually do this ? 1000rpm x .250ipr =250ipm
rapids and feed rate are 2 different things to a machine
try a slower rpm to see if the pitch changes (400 rpm x .125ipr = 50 ipm feed)
