I just purchased a used Arrow 2 (SIMODRIVE 611) YEAR 2000 from a facility in Pittsburgh. Had it moved to Canada
There is a sticker on the back that says 230 VOLTS
Got it powered up and control comes on but can not turn off the E stop
and it looks like everything in the electrical cabinet is off
In the electrical book it talks about 400V
Waiting for a call from previous owner
What should it be

The machine serial number plates indicate the rated incoming voltage they were capable of running on when new, but all of the machines came with a dual wound multi-tap transformer so they were "capable" of running on 208-480VAC but this voltage range only applies if you received the original transformer with the machine and set the taps so the outgoing voltage matches the machine's actual required voltage.

Unfortunately I can't give you a direct answer as as to what voltage your machine needs because I have seen the machines require different incoming voltages depending on when/where they were sold. I just checked my records from an Arrow 1000 Series 2 (with Siemens 611 drives) I installed for a customer recently and it was definitely 400VAC (It came from Canada to the US). Your best bet is to check with the seller to verify (as you already have), and if that doesn't give you a solid answer, Fives-Cincinnati should be able to tell you what the machine needs based on the serial number.

As I'm sure you are aware, you need to make sure you figure out what voltage you really need before powering it on again. It is bad for the electronics to power them up at too low of a voltage and even worse when it is too high.

Thank for getting back to me. Spoke to the sales guy. Did not get much out of him. The machine came out of MADARA pharmaceutical R&D in Pittsburgh. First response was they had a step-up transformer. So I responded great from what to what. Do to this place being a large facility its a pain to get an answer. Second email was that 208 was going to transformer and being steeped up so I would think it was to 380/415
