    fanuc Oi-TC PCMCIA CF CARD won't load file to controller

    I have a lathe with a fanuc Oi-TC controller, machine was purchased used and originally communicated with rs232

    i have purchased a pcmcia to cf card adapter, cf card 128mb transend industrial CF220i

    the controller can see the files on the card

    i have been able to delete files on the card from the controller

    i have formatted the card using the controller

    i/o para is set to 4 (memory card)

    process i am trying with no great success is below

    >system>all i/o>card>oprt>Nread>fset(O1997.txt)>Oset (1997)>EXEC

    i get a breif flash of lsk and input but no other msgs and the file isn't in my controller directory, getting stuck and playing around i also tried Fread

    machine is in edit mode, key is in edit position (tried both positions)

    Any suggestions here would be much appreciated

    and just like that after you ask a question the answer finds you,

    i did try quite a number of things but im 90% confident the change i made to make this work was one of the following below

    tv check set to 0

    or i feel more likely

    my solidworks code did not have % symbols at the start and end of the .txt file, all i did was add these at the start and end and the file uploaded to the controller no problems, really hope this can assist someone in the future

    Hello,

    Make a new program in the control,

    Then in edit mode make it like this.

    O1234; (call mem card prog)
    ;
    M198 P0001;
    ;
    M30

    Name your program on the CF card "O0001" and make it have to extension, so its just a "File" on the pc.

    This way you can run huge programs and its the preferred way to run from cf.

    Make sure IO is on 4 in settings.

    i’ll have to give that a shot, i’m struggling at the moment to find a post processor for an oi-tc, none of the standard post processor seem close in format
