New Machine G0704 Clean, Assemble, Adjust?

    Greetings,

Sorry for this throw-away thread, but my 'search mojo' seems to have abandoned me. I know there are threads detailing how folks set up new G0704 mills, including disassembly, cleaning, scraping, assembling, lubricating, adjusting, and so forth. I just can't find them!

    Can anyone help, please?

    Thanks,

    jv

It's a black hole of never ending improvement and adjustment.

If you are running manually it's not hard. You haven't really said if you have converted or not.

I haven't converted yet. That was my intention when I got this 8 years ago; I bought lead screws, ballnuts, and motor mounts, too. But, life got in the way, and here I am, back again. I'd like to get it up and running as a manual mill first, do a few things, and then revisit a conversion project.

I recall seeing several great threads, illustrated with pictures, of guys getting these and disassembling, cleaning, scraping, reassembling, adjusting, etc. I just can't find them! Maybe someone remembers.
