    Manual probing easy way

    Hello,

Im using Haas VF-2 and using a manual probing tool.
When I probing I have to touch both end of the workpiece and devid the didtance by 2 and enter on controller.

Can I use a macro function for do this an easy way?

    Thank in advance

I had this on a LinuxCNC machine configured on the remote jog and found it extremely useful.
I am also very interested if anyone has any info how can this be done on the Haas.

This can definitely be done, however you have to have the macro variables options enabled, which most machines that have this also have the probes installed.

Do you guys have this feature unlocked? NGC Control?

If you do have these features, the easiest way I can think of making this work is by creating different types of routines for x/y centering, but if you wanted to find say a corner, you would have to know the runout as well as the probe diameter(essentially what the calibration does for an integrated probe)
