Z axis overshooting on 5 axis CNC

    Hello,

I have a 5 axis CNC (Desktop NC 3.5). I am a beginner and yesterday I homed the z-axis and after that setting, any time I am loading a g-code, the z-axis is overshooting. As soon as the g-code starts, the z-axis moves really fast and locks the motor. Tried it with a few different g-codes still the same issue. I am not able to understand what is the issue. Can anyone help me?

    Thank you!

A beginner tackling 5 axis work is definitely adventurous. Are you sure the basic calibration of the machine is good and have you had to customise any of the values in the post processor you are using? In fact a lot more information would be good as there are quite a few things to be checked. How did you generate the code and are you working in the same units the motion control software is defaulting to?
