    clogged 5.5kw atc water cooled spindle

    Hi...Just working on a repaired spindle motor and noiiced no flow at all thru water lines..opened up and stuck a drill down hole...went in about 2 inches...then solid..both holes..should that need to be drilled?

    No there are baffles going around the whole spindle body, you can't drill through, they get Electrolysis Corrosion build up, if you don't use and anti-corrosion in the coolant, you will have to let it soak with something to get it clear, you may find something in an Auto store that will help to clear it out.
