RFQ for machined and fabricated parts

    Hello.
I am new to this forum (retired mechanical engineer), but was referred as a possible source for CNC work. If interested, please quote price and delivery on the following parts:

    PUTU001 - qty 2
    PUTU002 - qty 2
    PUTU003 - qty 2
    PUTU004 - qty 16
    PUTU005 - qty 2
    PUTU008 - qty 2, composed of:
    - PUTU006 - qty 1
    - PUTU007 - qty 1
    PUTU011 - qty 2, composed of:
    - PUTU009 - qty 1
    - PUTU010 - qty 1
    PUTU014 - qty 1 composed of:
    - PUTU012 - qty 1
    - PUTU013 - qty 1

    Some notes:
    - If your shop doesn't have the capability to do the welding, please consider quoting the individual pieces. I may be able to source welding elsewhere.
    - CAD files are available upon request. Formats available are:
    - 3D formats - SolidWorks (2011), STEP
    - 2D formats - SolidWorks, DWG, DXF
    - Please don't let the presence of GD&T discourage you from quoting. GD&T is simply a convenient language to convey the part requirements. If you are unfamiliar with any particular GD&T callouts, please let me know. I'd be happy to clear up any questions you may have.
    - All materials, including the 4130 steel sheet and tubing are available from McMaster. You may have an alternate source of supply.
    - Please let me know if you find any errors or omissions which would cause problems quoting or manufacturing.
    - Thank you for considering this package of work! I look forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you,
    Mike

    Greetings,

Looking at the parts using 4140 steel, I did not see any heat treat requirements. Is the material to be in the annealed state?

    Cheers,

    David

Thank you for your question. The alloy is 4130 (aka chromoly). Either annealed or normalized is OK. No subsequent heat treating is required.

    Thank you,

    Mike
