Elox-Fanuc wire cut series Q Issue

Hi, We have an Elox-Fanuc wire cut series Q, It will run a program complete in dry run but when you execute it normally it stops about 4 lines into the program on the first G01 command line and just sits there. Any idea why? Its ran these same programs before without issue. I also need a copy of the schematic for this machine. Does anyone have one? Any help is greatly appreciated.

No, we still have the problem. It seems like the power for the cutting wire doesn't come on. The wire is rolling but no cut power. We did find the schematic but its pretty archaic.

First thing I would check if the wire is shorted out somewhere along the path . If the wire touches something other than the part you are trying to cut .When you push the power button do you hear the generator latch in / With the power on you can use an ohm meter to check between the the wire and table for voltage .You can also use the meter to see if the wire is shorted the table .There should be no continuity between the wire and work table .Did the machine ever work ?

Yes, I worked fine. I'll do the ohm checks and see if theres any continuity

I have had some issues where the wire that go thru the felt pads was touching the shaft causing a short . You can also have a short inside a head . Dose your edge find word ? If it works correctly you can rule out a short.

Not sure I'll have to ask. The machine is at another location. Be a couple days before I can get back to it.

If your edge find dose not work your problem is a short .You also have two small micro switches that tell if the wire is broke if they are damaged or not touching the wire the machine will no run .What state are you in?
