    slave axis racking

New build project - first time cnc project.
Rack and pinion drives on all axis.
    Linear guiderails

    Nema 23 4.2A motors. DM556 drivers. Microstepping set to 1/8 (1600 pulses/rev)
    Kernel speed 25000hz

Y axis (long axis) slaved with A axis.

When I jog the y axis, I can see one side begin moving a fraction of a second before the other side.

First sample cut (Alien face engraving) pretty bad - where the contours should be smooth there are jogs, and each time I run the code, the jogs are in different places.

Any suggestions how I can fix this?

    Re: slave axis racking

Found the issue - one of the gears was slipping. Looks like this problem is solved.
