I have a Novakon nm135 with stock BLDC controller and spindle motor. I have no manual but found similar controllers that say:
PWM--control input-pin 500-5KHz of the PWM control signal 10% -90% of the minimum speed can be controlled to the highest (Recommended frequency: 1KHz)
I don't know a lot about electronics but I think servo pwm is 500hz? It also looks like 1hkz is the recommended frequency? So 0-1000hz? I purchased a mach3 breakout that says it's capable of 2.5khz. Also has a d/a pwm 0-10v.
On the controller I see:
12v
5v
NC
Stop (stop/start)
F/R (I assume forward reverse)
PWM
GND
I assume the last two are all I need to get the motor spinning at variables speeds but I could be wrong. There is also another 2 pin connector labeled PC1 & PC2 which I have included a photo of. It came wired with a jumper but maybe this could be an alternative 0-10v control?
I have included the breakout board I have coming. It looks like P1 is the pwm output but it also can do 0-10v.
