What is wrong with the solenoid?
Have you contacted a local hydraulic supply house, usually they are able to sub a replacement.

Three valves on the block in the picture. Two of them bi-directional. Activate it with screw driver to see what it is responsible for.
Make sure it is safe to activate in advance.

If these are AC valves, if any side is activated manually that happens to be under power at the time, means an instant coil burn-out!

    1. Sure no.
    2. Disconnect electrical connector and activate with screw driver then. Would be safe.

    Cool Re: Solenoid Valve

I saw it happen plenty of times with mechanical maintenance service teams.
One of the reasons I always spec'ed in DC coils for new projects, it can't happen with DC.

Remember that the gear box changing must include the slow spindle rotating while shifting so if you do it by hand ,put a guy to rotate slowly the spindle while you are actuating the valve.
