We are having an annoying issue with the CNC lately.
In normal use when placing pieces on the machine we slide them along on top of the lift up arms. When activating the foot switch, the arms drop the piece down onto the suction pads. On releasing the foot switch the vacuum then activates holding the piece securely.
Now the vacuum is on constantly to the pads, so when the foot switch is activated the arms drop the piece down onto the pads and are instantly held in place. If the piece is not in the correct position we have to manually turn off the vacuum, re-locate the piece and turn the vacuum on again.
The machine is usable OK but this vacuum problem is a bit annoying.
Safety wise, the machine will actually run even if the vacuum is NOT turned on. It never did that before.
A spark had a look at it. Although a signal was going to the foot switch, it did not seem to be getting a reply back from the switch.
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and perhaps how they managed to fix it.
Regards
Steve
