Hi everyone. I've had my little side business running for almost two years now and, despite Covid, I'm not doing that bad.
I currently have a 3 axis Fadal VMC40, with rotary A.

I desperately need a lathe. Like everyone, I want the most I can get, and I want to pay the least I have to.
I have about 30k and I'd like to get a turn/mill with radial and axial live tool capable machine.
I'm looking at a Haas SL20 or SL25 (because I need to save 3-5k for rigging and hookup) but I don't know anything about Haas's. People either bash them or stand by them adamantly but I've never run one.

I am using MasterCam to program.
I'd like 1.75 or 2" through the head stock.
The majority of my parts are about 2 or 3 inches long. Could be up to 6 to 8 inches long.
The majority of my parts are 1 inch bar stock, but could be anything.
A bar feeder isn't necessary, although it would be cool.
I'd like a chuck and 5c/16c collet abilities.
I don't need a tail stock, but I wouldn't say no to one.
I'd rather a sub spindle, but I'll take what I can get.
I'd like to have control of the C axis
I'd like the machine to accept Vactra 2 since that's what I run and I don't want to mix and match oils.
I'd like it to be 220VAC 3 phase, under 50 amps.
I'd like it to run on 85-125 psi of air
And be in, or around, New England if someone knows one for sale. (Located in CT)

I'm hoping someone can come along and say "Check out this machine..." or "Do it, I have a SL20/25 and you won't regret it!"

Thank you.
