    Re: Spindle Control Follow-up

    Hi Sean,

    Progress!

    in CCW ramps up nicely to roughly 1200 then down to 900 and then stabilizes at 1000 +/- 20 rpm and ramps down to Zero when the off Button is pressed .
    That would be a tuning issue. Maybe reduce P Gain or Acceleration.

    CW just runs away as count is wrong direction
    Try changing the gains appropriately in your CW and CCW programs. Add it just before the Jog to speed command.

    chan[SPINDLEAXIS].InputGain0=0.02;
    or
    chan[SPINDLEAXIS].InputGain0=-0.02;

    Wink Re: Spindle Control Follow-up

    Hi Tom

    Thank you so much for your help and patience , with me on this project .

    I was starting to doubt whether using a Kflop/Kstep/kanalog set up to retrofit a CNC mill would be possible for some one with no programming experience and limited Electronic knowledge.

    But we have succeeded,, with huge amounts of understanding from you.

    i now have 3 closed loop axis's repeatable to 0.004mm over 50mm and a working spindle

    all the original front panel overlay buttons work for their original functions . Fwd and Rev buttons originally ramped up the speed as well as turned on the spindle ( i have some digital potentiometers around here somewhere, so that could be a project for my retirement :-) )

    thank you so much for all your help
