Difference I/O signals via ExtIn board or INPUT OUTOUT connector

    Hello,

I have questions about the use of input and output signals via the ExtIn board.

Several functions - like switching coolant or using a tool probe - require setting the I/O Pins in the settings menu.
Here you find a pulldown menu that indicates only 8 inputs or 8 outputs.
It is not possible to sellect the ExtIn signals.
What if I want to use additinal inputs or outputs?

    So:
    1. Is it possible to adress a funktion like switching on/off the coolant to a relay on an additional relay board (through a ExtIn board)?

    2. is it possible to use a ExtIn board for the tool probe input?

And when it is not possibel, which functions are affected?
For me it is always a supprise

    Best regards,
    Marc

The ExtIn signals and relays are controlled via scripting and may be used as desired …

    Hello SkiPatrol,

thank you for your quick response.
Even not knowing much about scripting I managed it to switch a relay on the EXT relay board by typing M3 in the MDI and switching it off by command M5.

By clicking the icon on the desktop it didn´t work.
But then I found the possibility to change the spindle Command from Native to M-code. (step 2.9.3.4.2 in the manual)

I can go a little further now but I am sure that I come back soon with more questions.

    Best regards,
    Marc
