Unhappy Need Help with a swiss lathe

Hello, I need help with a Swiss Nomura NN-13bs, and I would appreciated if someone can help me with this issue. I can't find the way to make the swiss touch up the X and Z axis? if anyone had or have work on this type of machine and can help me I really appreciated.

Re: Need Help with a swiss lathe

You may already have your answer but the Nomura Swiss machines use an optical tool setter to set the turning tools in the removable holders prior to mounting on the machine. It is great for changing inserts but is difficult to set if you do not have the optical setter since the tools need to be set for X, Y, and Z position prior to mounting. The end working tools are set in Z only using a U shaped gage supplied by Nomura for the front side and you simply touch off the piece to the tool on the back side and enter the Z value in the Tool Offsets page. Best of luck
