Tarnow Lathe Need Help on Type of Taper to Use.

I hope someone can help me out. I have brought a very old Tarnow lathe.

From the information I can find is that the lathe using MT5. When I look into the tail stock. I can see a short stud with threaded.

My questions which type of end I can use for example live center and drill chuck. I saw that there are taper with spline and some with flat end.

Is the taper need to thread to the short stud or not?

    Thanks

Just a guess, but you are most likley looking at the tail stock ram screw. Normally a Morris taper is self holding and does not require a draw screw. The exception to this would be a Morris taper milling tool holder.
