Laser cutting in 12mm bamboo gets burned

    Hi,
I have a 130w laser, but I cant seem to cut 12 mm bamboo plates without it getting burned. Is it simply impossible to cut through bamboo this thick with a laser, or my settings completly wrong?
Setting: 5mm/s power: 73% (max power to keep laser life) single pass…

    I have a 3” lens and Reci W6 tube

If you use a small orifice nozzle with high pressure compressed air (30 psi), then you will get much better results--less burn-back, higher cut speed, reduced side-wall charring.
