Z Axis Binding both up and down

Had a problem where the machine was cutting fine and then I noticed the Z make a noise and slip a little. after that the Z began to bind up whether I was trying to go up or down. The first time this happened I was able to turn the spindle manually and lift it. Once I got it free and up about 3 inches it seemed fine again and worked for another 10 min until it happened again. Here's a video of what it's doing. or not doing as the case maybe! Thanks for any help!

That certainly looks like a mechanical binding problem. Maybe some cleaning and lubrication? Broken ball in the ball nut?
