Hello everyone
So I finally got my vm17 up and running. Everything seems to work so far. My question is that I have a Renishaw mp10 probe that I got with a bunch of stuff at an auction. Can I use this with my vm17? If so what do I need as all I have is the probe body. Not even a probe in it lol. I assume I need some sort of interface or something for it to talk to the machine? Or is it going to be more expensive than buying a new one to get it set up? Would be nice to have something like that for setup’s I would think? Anyway I figured I would ask the ppl that know way more than myself. Is there a cheaper alternative? This is a home shop. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Get a Haimer or Tschorn 3D taster instead of an actual Renishaw probe. Cost will be under $500 all in and especially for home workshop use they are very versatile.
