Multus U4000 OSP300-SA
Hello Men, I've been on this machine 3+ years but unfortunately it's been mostly repetitive turning work with a limited amount of milling other than basic hole processes and junk and stuff. I did manage to finally figure out how to apply cutter comp on endmills successfully all on my own! Anywho I have a part to machine with 390 holes in it, all on 45 Degrees. 39 holes in a line along Z axis, then rotate C axis 36 Degrees and repeat. 1" OD 3/4 ID tube. I'm looking for the most efficient method to program all these damn holes. I've done little to none on the slope stuff, mainly just tinkering in spare time and what not. I'm capable of looping a repetitive operation with simple statements. I do most of my code longhand bc it's generally faster than Featurecam as I do not stay sharp on the CAM software... I have the model loaded and when I run the AFR I'm getting some crazy code that I can tell just no way in hell it will run. So, will definitely get the post worked on soon. I've been doing this over 20 years and I wanna be able to do it without relying on a POS offline computer. Dont have IGF on the Multus but we have a Captain LM370MW with IGF as well as a couple LB15's. The code below is the first hole location all the way around radially that featurecam gave me. Would appreciate any solid and accurate information so I can wrap my head around slope machining and one day hopefully do this crap blindfolded!
