Jogging while paused in Fanuc 21i-t

    New to using Fanuc controls.
I have a Romi G30 lathe with Fanuc 21i-T control.
It has Manual Guide and that is what I’m working with.

I’m boring a .875 hole out to 1.75 with a boring bar 0.05” per pass.
If I push the stop button during this process I cannot jog the tool away from the part to check bore dimension.
The only way I can jog is to cancel the program (hit reset) then jog will work.
Unfortunately, I then can only start the program from the beginning.

Is there a way to pause and jog, check my diameter, then resume program?

Are you using a boring cycle or just a G01 move?
Normally the Fanuc (who ever wrote the PLC) will let you select jog and move an axis at any point but this could be an odd case where they chose to interlock.
But, there may also be something in a canned cycle that inhibits manual intervention which may in turn have a parameter to change the operation.

It’s in manual guide so I don’t know what codes they use behind the scenes.

Unfortunately I do not know enough about Manual Guide to offer any help. But now some of your other posts make sense as to some of the things you are seeing/experiencing.
