    Unhappy Spindle Malfunction

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my spindle for CNC 1224. It does not revolve/rotate when I set it to 15,000RPM. When I set it to other RPMs (i.e 6000,10000,12000,18000,24000), it revolves/rotates. Secondly, even when I try to cut a model in NCStudio, the spindle does not revolve/rotate. Is it a problem with NCStudio or it is a problem with wiring? I installed NCStudio afresh but still no change.

    Please help me!

Try run the spindle on 15010rpm instead of 15000. That's it.

find out what rpm close to 15000 is running well. For instance, S14900M3
    then try non stop:
    S14900M3
    S15000
    what happens?
The same investigation starting from 18000 down.

The next value it revolves at from 15000rpm is 18000rpm.

    Thank you

    Re: Spindle Malfunction

    (Corrected)

Your machine has 3 bits for the spindle speed- "low", "medium" and "high". The NC Studio card has 3 separate output pins going to the VFD. Either one of those outputs has gone bad, or one of the VFD inputs got fried, or the wire between them got broken.

When you command M3 S18000, does the spindle rotate at 18000RPM, or at a slower speed?

    Re: Spindle Malfunction

When i command M3 S18000, the machine rotates at 18000rpm but the rotation seems to be slower. At 12000rpm, the machine seems to rotate faster than on 18000rpm. Please assist.

    Thank you

Check the "Spindle high" output of your breakout card. Measure it with a voltmeter with the spindle on (at 18000RPM) and spindle off.
