Job Summary

The CNC Machinist reports to the Machine Shop Supervisor and is responsible for making quality-machined components with CNC machines. This person will work with precision, close tolerance parts that require a thorough understanding of blueprints, a dedication to quality, an exceptional work ethic, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities

? Run CNC mills and lathes.
? Responsible for own set up’s on the machine.
? Reads and interprets blueprints.
? Use calipers and micrometers, along with all other standard shop measuring instruments.
? Understands programming concepts, and is able to edit program for tool locations, and part off sets.
? Actively participates in a team-based, lean manufacturing environment.
? Able to perform first piece inspection on parts, and consistently keep parts with specifications.


Prerequisite Skills and Education

? High school diploma, proficient in shop math.
? Either a CNC certification or some machining experience and a willingness to attend and successfully complete a certified CNC training program.
? 3-5 years experience running CNC Mills and lathes.
