Machine won't respond to part zero properly!

I'm currently enrolled in an Industrial Maintenance class and am working through CNC Operation. The big issue with that is the CNC not responding to the workpiece zero.

The machine, a Levil WL-F400, has a Fanuc Series Oi Mate-MD controller. Going through the lesson, it has me set G55 as the workpiece zero using an edgefinder, and the X and Y zeros work properly. The issue with the Z axis. Despite setting the Z axis for G55, the machine sets the Z axis for way lower when actually running. The same code that will position it right above the corner of the workpiece will also cause it to overrun on Z.

This has been solved! There was a value in the EXT offset when it should have been cleared, leading to the machine offsetting what the workpiece zero should have been.
