    Computer Case Windows

    Hey folks,

Is it possible to cut case windows with a machine made from the rockcliff plans, or do I need something like a plasma cutter. I want to do my case and some friends cases but don't want to put out a ton of cash.

    Thanks
    Gerald

I am no expert but I think if you have the right bit in your unit - you can cut metal and wood.Computer cases are not made out of very hard metal - I think very thin sheet metal.lubrication for your bit could be an issue.

Most computer cases are steel, your best bet would be to go with a carbide tool and use cutting wax. I drill and mill all day long with carbide tools and cutting wax for the drill bits. Give it a try.

computer cases are generally steel or aluminum. The aluminum is thinner then the steel but the thickness depends on who made the case, and the quality.

Case modding is my main hobby.
